I've changed the author reference date to 2015 as per both AntCat and per (presumably Ward's) annotation on the copy of the paper uploaded on the University of California's eScholarship page [1], reading:

Published online (Early View) on 23 July 2014. However, the ZooBank registration entry for this article does not give the name and internet address of an organization other than the publisher that is intended to permanently archive the work. Under ICZN Article 8.5.3.1 the online (Early View) version of this paper does not meet the ICZN criteria for electronic publication and therefore the publication date for nomenclatural purposes is January 2015, the date of print publication.
