Details on his death edit
Can anyone provide any details of how he died.

The Drover's Wife: "the date of his death is sourced. if you want to add more information about the circumstances of and reaction to his death, you are very welcome, but adding a citation needed tag for a cited fact is not appropriate."
I asked if anyone can provide the info of his death as I myself could not find anywhere contemporary reports of his death.
So that statement was rather counterproductive and frankly a misrepresentation of me in asking for this info.110.33.138.212 (talk) 13:15, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- That is not the purpose of the citation needed tag, which is to indicate a statement that is not supported by given sources. Given that he retired in some disgrace, it is likely his death was not much reported so there may not be sources online. Frickeg (talk) 20:43, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
