Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.

• Apart from two world championship finals, his only other appearance in a ranking tournament." Probably need to specify you are talking about ranking tournament finals. Bare in mind we literally stated he won the UK in the sentence before, which is clearly a bigger deal. Perhaps "in addition, Griffiths also reached the final of the 1989 European Open, losing on a deciding frame to John Parrott.", I'd suggest that he was in three additional Triple Crown finals is also notable. • As far as I know, he was the first qualifier to win the event at the Crucible; Higgins won as a qualifier in 1972 which had a different format. (See e.g. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/snooker/4504233.stm ). Could either say second player, or first at Crucible, or leave it as is - let me know what you think. • Interestingly, I knew Higgins did, but then didn't type it. I'd suggest saying all of this, stating he was the second qualifier to win the event, and the first at the Crucible.
