Bracketed numbers

I see 2 instances of bracketed numbers on the page. What are they? Are they supposed to be references? If so, they should be replaced. Ryan Vesey Review me! 22:58, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Response to questions on my talk page.

I modified the information about the territorial revival style because of the information presented in Territorial Revival architecture. It states that it "developed in the U.S. state of New Mexico in the 1930s". The article also states that "Territorial architecture was current in the New Mexico Territory from about 1848 until 1900". I think it is reasonable that buildings may have been made in the style from 1900-1930 but it was no longer prevalent. Victorian style homes are still built today; however, the article does not state that it is prevalent here in the 21st century. That being said, I would have no problem with the information being changed in both articles if a source is added. Another part of my logic comes from the fact that a style of architecture wouldn't remain in place until it switches to the "revival style". For a style to be revived, it must have lost prevalence.

Addressing your questions on citations. It is best if citations are written using one of the {{citation}} templates. As you can see, I converted most of the citations to {{cite book}}. I will attempt to convert the Conron and Lent article to {{cite journal}}. You should take a look at the parameters and see if I missed anything or it should be changed. In addition, if two citations use the same source, it is better to give the reference a name using <ref name="Conron and Lent"> {{Cite journal|author=Conron and Lent|year=1979|title=The Architecture of Santa Fe: A Survey of Styles|journal=New Mexico Architecture |volume= |issue= |pages=14-15 |publisher= |doi= |url= |accessdate= }}</ref>. Any future instances would be written <ref name="Conron and Lent" />

Side note first. Conron & Lent was (I believe)an architectural firm in Santa Fe back when. The article was just listed as being provided by them. Somewhere else I spotted a first name of one of them, he was maybe an editor on the magazine. But the article it's self was just listed as C & L. I will look at the cite formatting and think about it. All my citations are cut & paste from my bibliography at home, I am reluctant to make referencing things more difficult.
