Dab or set index

edit

There is a merge proposal for the content of this article, that seems to be obvious. I think this should be a disambiguation page, merging Terrapin (disambiguation), or a set index for the common name. cygnis insignis 17:37, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

wowsers! yeah. all this needs is the distinct meanings covered with a quick disambig and, of course, in Diamondback Terrapin. Μετανοιδ (talk, email) 02:38, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

pop culture section

edit

as with just about every article, the pop culture/trivia section is too large (and really unnecessary with such an in-depth article). IMO, only the references to the University of Maryland, the Greatful Dead, and the brewery warrant mentioning. Lime in the Coconut 19:12, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Seychelles black terrapin extinct?

edit

I don't know enough about the subject to straighten this out, but if the link on the Seychelles black terrapin is followed, the article reached declares that Pelusios seychellensis, the Seychelles black terrapin, is the same species as Pelusios castaneus, the West African Mud turtle, apparently a "least concern" species! One article or the other needs correcting... FloweringOctopus (talk) 10:33, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
