- Unfortunately, it is not that simple. Before the Church stopped publicly identifying those serving as General Authority Seventies by their Quorum affiliation (though they are still assigned to one of the two), when this article was originally deleted, it was because, at that time, with Vinson then being identified as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy, and with the article about him here not having sufficient sourcing independent of the Church, several people voted in favor of deleting that article, in addition to a bunch of other articles relating to additional members of the Second Quorum of the Seventy. It could be argued that with Vinson's call to the Presidency of the Seventy now having become effective (which occurred on August 1 of this year), that his service in a higher-profile position (Presidency of the Seventy vs. General Authority Seventy) now necessitates restoring the article, but so far, any attempt to have previously-deleted articles restored for such members has failed to garner sufficient support. --Jgstokes (talk) 08:12, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
