Information removed edit

It appears Moriori has removed valuable and highly accurate information about TelstraClear for personal reasons. The text provided was not sour grapes, it was statement of fact. I wonder if Moriori has ever worked there? I presume not.

Bad Service, Bad Workplace? edit

TelstraClear has many issues both for employees and customers but I think a Wikipedia expert is needed to work out how to communicate this without bias. Customer service is often very poor from no fault of individual staff members. In Wellington this is largely due poor information systems used by the contractor who manages the cable network. A customer told that cable will be installed in the in two and a half weeks time can expect to wait up to 9 weeks if there are any issues such as underground work required or conflicts with where a cable drop can be made. In one case of particularly poor communication four of the contractors technicians over a period of 6 weeks were sent to do installation work that could not be completed due to the failure of the contractor to complete the required underground work first.

Since the unbundling announcement Telstra plan to invest more effort into New Zealand which may improve some of the many issues with TelstraClear.

Analogue Channels for Free edit

Someone should check and update this section as it may vary between regions. Also maybe a section on how splitting the cable yourself is frowned upon for signal quality reasons.

"Technical Information" edit

I don't know who has been defacing this article but it is quite different from a year ago or so. The "Technical Information" section states that TelstraClear does not operate its own network. This is ONLY true in the case of mobile phone radio communications.

TelstraClear operate a significant fibre optic infrastructure within New Zealand. This now extends to Invercargill on a fault-tolerant ring design. TelstraClear's inter-city fibre networks are world class design - I know, I used to work there, and I've worked in other Telcos in the world.

TelstraClear's intra-city infrastructure is also mostly based on fault-tolerant ring design. Whilst TelstraClear DO rent infrastructure from Telecom and Vodafone to provide a customer with a complete solution it is more usual to provide most of a customer's services on TelstraClear owned and operated infrastructure (fibre, copper, termination equipment, the lot).

Fair use rationale for Image:TelstraClear.svg edit

Image:TelstraClear.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
