Copyright problems edit

On April 11 2007 this article was reported as a potential [[:WP:CP|copyright problem] with an assertion it was plagiarized from http://www.livingunderworld.org/anura/database/leptodactylidae/telmatobius/culeus/ . I carefully investigated the references provided and the URL given as the copyrighted source, and unfortunately the report seems valid.

To resolve the issue, I deleted the article and created a new stub with the lead section, the infobox, and categories but without the text in question. I left the references section intact although I found little information there. Knowledgeable editors in this area can add new prose about this frog, because I'm certainly not frog-savvy.

Please do not add text from the livingunderworld.org site into Wikipedia articles. They have a strict licensure and copyright policy and editors must not infringe on their copyright. Thanks. KrakatoaKatie 05:52, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
