Given it appears to be a real species, I'll cancel my speedy request. However, what is needed most right now is some context for the article. When I look at the article, I have no clue what it is about. I have added a basic statement that would alleviate this concern: "Notropis Telescopus is a species of fish, commonly known as the telescope shiner". Though even now, this substub does not offer much of anything. Hopefully you can add more information to help bring this up to at least a basic stub article. Regards.
