Craig Marduk

edit

Looks like someone removed Craig from the confirmed cast list, he is played by Nathan Jones, from whom he was based on. Can someone add this back in? 80.229.169.189 (talk) 09:35, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've just watched this film, he's not in it. Tekken is not listed on his IMDB page either. Perhaps he was in a deleted scene, but until someone has a source saying so I'm removing him again. --M4roho (talk) 00:24, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Must be a deleted scene because I managed to find this pic showing him facing Jin http://a.giscos.free.fr/cinema/Acteur/N/NathanJones/NathanJones2.jpg 80.229.169.189 (talk) 07:31, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's not from the Tekken movie, it's a photo of Nathan Jones and Tony Jaa from a Thai action movie Tom-Yum-Goong.--GD 6041 (talk) 07:55, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ling

edit

As I hear, there are quite a few people that are pretty offended about Ling Xiaoyu being portrayed by a Japanese girl. The Tekken game series has quite a reputation to live up to, But theyve gotta get the language barrier thing down to keep with the spirit of the Tekken. In other words, I kinda hope she speaks Chinese in the film. Ax Kamen (talk) 17:51, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm guessing these people aren't actual fans of tekken than? Ling Xiaoyu is chinese according to canon however she has never spoken mandarin ever, even to her grandfather. This is explained in Xiaoyu's article, because she was voiced by a japanese voice actress since her first appearance, she only speaks japanese. It doesn't quite make sense that people are offended by her not speaking any chinese languages now that there is a film, when she has never spoken it to begin with and most likely never will. --123.243.201.139 (talk) 10:24, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

edit

I request that this page be moved to Tekken (2009 film) Tekken (film) , because it's a better title and most films with the same name follow along those lines.--EclipseSSD (talk) 20:58, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think it should be moved to Tekken (film) -- see how Transformers (film) and The Transformers: The Movie work out. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 15:46, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Got it, struck out 2009 film and replaced it. --EclipseSSD (talk) 16:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wrong People

edit

The link for David Pitt and Kelly Overton are redirected to the wrong page. It states Pitt as a deceased civil rights campaigner born in 1914 and Overton as the managing director of Save the Chimps(???). I'm not sure if there are any more but it should be fixed. --EnigmaD (talk) 05:17, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Carpenter as Juila Chang

edit

Hmm, I saw a few people add her down for this film and removing the film from her bio page. Except she isn't added of imdb and I can't find any articles for her being in the film. Should we remove her from the list? Govvy (talk) 22:11, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

also...i dont get why holly marie combs credit as michelle chang has been removed. Her wikipedia page says she is going to be playing her in this movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.6.201.250 (talk) 21:26, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism?

edit

I've read the current version of this article and it is totally F U C Ked up! Eddy murthy, andy sirkis, michael bublé WTF!!!! Someone needs to sort this out and sort the information out on this, this is ridiculous.

-Jas

I agree, there is a cockload of vandalism and my guess here is its probably in the IGAF category. Vandalism is really funny if you know how to do it right.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.188.105.200 (talk) 13:13, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

New sections

edit

I've edited the cast section and added the development one, inspired by the Watchmen article. I'm sure there must be some sppeling errors, and I would be greateful if someone could fix them. I'm a huge Tekken fan and I think this article needs more attention and info, as this movie has the potential of becoming a fan favorite (but nothing more than that, I suppose). Anyway, as more information is revealed I will edit this article further. Thanks, and may the Force... Devil Gene be with you! 200.222.57.159 (talk) 22:54, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

IMDB

edit

I've just checked the imdb entry for tekken and i was shocked like hell!It says that jackie chan plays Lei Wu LOng Ron Perlman-Paul Phoenix and you won't believe this: Hwoarang is portraid by....JAMES FRANCO!!!!Check it out I think that imdb page was hacked by someone with sense of humour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MadMoovz (talkcontribs) 21:53, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Jackie Chan as Lei Wulong is'nt casted yet! Please buddy don't mislead the fans.By the way Tekken movie going to be lame as hell like any other hollywood adaptation.

King and Armor King

edit

I noticed that King and Armor King are unconfirmed elsewhere, yet i find two unlinked names for them, neither of which names i can find anywhere else online (i mightnt be looking hard enough). Personally i think this is some fans form of vandalism but i cannot prove this. Can anyone see to it as to whether or not it is vandalism or it is true? I dont like unconfirmed vandalism especially when im a fan of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.222.173.114 (talk) 01:29, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Release date removal

edit

I've removed the release date per two policies.

First, WP:OR this seems to be Original reseerach set forth by the Ip user, Special: Contributions/195.241.13.194 and only to be verified by a [forum page] which has only [[1]] one reference which makes no actual reference to the release date. The sources to all Wikipedia articles need reliable sources. WP:SPS shows that forums should not be used as references. It doesn't even say if it was released to merely industry. I want this movie released as soon as possible, but the released date needs to be left in TBA until we get a reliable source. Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 03:13, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've changed the release date again but I saw that the release date of the Japanese version of the film was yesterday. Can anyone confirm this besides a questionable source? Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 02:07, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Differences

edit

I added a section to highlight the differences between the film and the game series. This will hopefully cut down the number of incorrect edits where people are changing character information to reflect the game instead of the film.--Transce080 (talk) 17:03, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Interesting review

edit

http://theurbanwire.com/2010/07/26/tekken-only-in-name/ This highlights a lot of the bad parts of the movie, should it be placed here? Sincerely Subzerosmokerain (talk) 02:21, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tekken (2010 film)Tekken (2009 film) – The film was released in 2009 at a festival. Eventhough it was a limited release it shouldn't matter, the finished film was still released in 2009. Similar examples that follow this logic: The King's Speech, Under the Skin (2013 film), Redline (2009 film) Mika1h (talk) 00:36, 20 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
