He also was champion of Chile with Colo-Colo in 1953 and 1956 I hope it's okay to add this here. My family and I moved into Robledo House, as 97 Barnsley Road was always called, in 1963. We turned it into a general store, and lived here for four years. Some of the old furniture was there, including Ted's iron bed-frame which was used by me for another seven years. Tied to it was a silver whistle which bore Ted's initials. The bed-frame, which he had chiseled his name on, ended up at a local scrapyard. The whistle I still have.
