Article formatting and style

Thanks for tips etc. Alletson's a bit of an oddball, as he is only famous for what he did one day... other than that, he was one of life's failures, so copying the formatting from famous sportsmen profiles doesn't really seem to fit, to my way of thinking. Then again, I'm the newbie! Dweller 12:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thinking further, perhaps it would be as well to minimise the info about Alletson's day in the sun on that page and create a new page for Alletson's Innings... advise? Dweller 12:04, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't create another article just for his innings yet. I noticed that you've added this article to List of cricketers... that'll probably bring a bit of attention from editors more familiar with the formatting and organisation of cricket articles. If that doesn't happen, then I recommend asking on Talk:List of cricketers for some advice. - Motor (talk) 12:39, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Helpful, thanks. I'll do just that. Dweller 12:48, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Game situation

edit

I think it would help if the game situation was made clearer in this article. Am I correct in believing that Alletson ended not out and the match was drawn? TheGrappler 21:02, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Alletson was out for 189 and the match ended in a draw. It is believed that fielder was actually outside the boundary line when he took the catch. Tintin (talk) 05:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Alletson

AO Jones, the Notts skipper, tried to get Alletson to hit out again but he wouldn't. Notts were in danger of losing the famous match.Alletson was essentially a fast bowler but his action was suspect.JimBakken (talk) 23:45, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
