Inprovements edit

I'm not sure that both a "definitions" and "acronyms" sections is needed. Couldn't they just be under one heading named "Lexicon" or "Appendix"? --WildKard 22:10, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions for expansion: explanations of TSC culture such as Judy Patch, "I want my dollar and my taco", burkiss, and the like. 72.141.221.112 20:53, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:72.141.221.112's suggestions edit

Those are good ideas, but I'll probably leave the Judy Patch and "Dollar and my taco" stuff to someone else. Judy, because I don't think I could handle adding that while maintaining a neutral point of view. The "Dollar and my taco", because I still don't quite understand the origins of that quote. I am however, planning to add a "Well-known members" category, including burrkiss. I will probably just put brief reasons why they are so "famous", and leave more detailed biographies for them to add themselves. I will likely link their usernames to their TSC profile page.
On another note, I think that this article is expanding very rapidly (MUCH THANKS to everyone who has contributed), and I feel it no longer is a stub, and would like to remove the stub classification. However, I'm kinda new to wikipedia, and so I want some other peoples opinions on that.

I don't think it's a stub anymore; I would recommend unstubbing it as well. As for adding Judy Patch and such, if we do that, we'll probably want to make a new category for the 'memes'; IWANM (I wanna new mouse) would probably go there.Veinor (ヴエノル) 01:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps to be adding something concerning the regular exchange of karma between members? IProcrastrinate ThereforeISlobOut 01:50, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

LART edit

Wikipedia already has a definition of LART; should this article not have the link to it in its explanation?

Fancruft edit

Personally, I think the article needs to be trimmed. A lot of the stuff seems to be unnecessary detail to me (in particular the section about definitions and notable users). I also don't think the 'Murphy's Law' section is necessary; I just can't see what it adds. Veinor (talk to me) 21:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I tend to agree. The wikipedia article should not act as a FAQ for TSC, but as an overview of what the site is. The level of detail that previously existed would be better of hosted on TSC itself. Resolute 21:59, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Is this even worth its own article? Charonn0 (talk) 05:13, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Tech Support Comedy screenshot.jpg edit

File:Tech Support Comedy screenshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
