Ownership?
This article seems very perfunctory in most ways. Not much information here.
For example, why does the article say nothing about TechCrunch's corporate ownership? I believe it may have been previously owned by AOL but is now owned by Oath, a subsidiary of Verizon... not sure, but if that's true, wouldn't that raise possible issues about the independence of its reporting on telecomm-related issues? A major topic for most big tech sites...
