Talk:Tebessa Basilica

Your draft shows an understanding of the layout of a Wikipedia entry, so you’re off to a good start with that aspect. Likewise, you have a kernel of the content already up, too, which will expand as you include more of your research. In particular, it looks like you haven’t posted the History part, and email me when that’s up so that I can take a quick look at it also.

In terms of what has been posted so far, step back and revise with an eye to clarity and organization. For example, under design we learn your basilica was modified in the 4th-5th centuries, but when exactly was it initially built? Since you have more material on the ornament from Kitzinger, you might flesh that section out as well. You probably were planning to tackle this in the History section, but make sure to address why it was dedicated to St. Crispina. Some other minor details are to include images, and proofread for spelling (alters) and mechanics. AMcClanan (talk) 19:28, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

The basic structure looks good, and it appears as though you plan to expand on it more. I have just a few suggestion for improving the page. I recommend keeping your first sentence as part of the opening statement, but moving the rest of that section into "History" below. You give some nice detailed descriptions in the "Design" section, but a few images would enhance the viewer's ability to put them in context. Overall, your tone is neutral, and everything you put on the page is relevant to the subject. I would just suggest adding more information about how the basilica was used, and by whom. It looks like you have several sources, which is good. There does seem to be a few issues with the dates, for some reason. You may need to update them manually. I look forward to seeing the finished page when it is published! Jodijansen (talk) 20:28, 27 November 2018 (UTC)JodijansenReply

Good work on revision, though some of the issues we discussed weren't fixed (I did a little additional cleaning up). That said, you have clearly worked hard, and thanks in particular for bringing images in. AMcClanan (talk) 19:29, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
