Sir Samuel Griffith Drive

edit

Sir Samuel Griffith Drive is not a crossing of the range, it is in fact a circular road running along the foot of the mountain looping up and running basiclly along the ridge of the mountain to the lookout back to meet itself again at the Mt Coot-Tha quarry. Scenic Drive also runs up the Eastern Side of Mt Coot-Tha. there is a road crossing the range from Kenmore to The Gap, called Gap Creek Rd. also Wardell St(Ashgrove to Enoggera) crosses to the east and Settlement Rd(The Gap to Keperra) crosses to th west of Enoggera Hill(which is a separate part of the range)

extent of the range

edit

MT Coot-tha drops away in the east to the much lower lying suburb of toowong. the text states as Follows "Further east along the range is Enoggera Hill. The range becomes a series of hills through the Brisbane suburbs of Red Hill, Spring Hill to Wickham Terrance in the Brisbane central business district". enoggera hill is within the suburb boundary of ENOGGERA as per the brisbane ubd map 138 ref co-ord D13, this branch of the range runs through the suburbs of The Gap/Keperra, enoggera,Newmarket, wilston, windsor, albion and ascot/hamilton.

the hills refered to at red hill are not on the same branch of the range as Mt Coot-tha either, they run through the suburbs of bardon paddington, then RED HILL to SPRING HILL.
