Scientific proven hope came from French blue edit
The theory that the hope diamond was cut from the French blue was not "proven". The evidence from the recently found lead casting does not definitively prove anything, only that the hope could have been cut from the French blue based on dimensions. The cut form of this gem had a distinct look, it came with a star shaped ‘window’ that, rather than internally reflecting light, let light through it, de-emphasizing the blue hue of the diamond, but only for the window itself.
