Lead edit

  • in Colombia and the United States ===>>> in either Colombia or the United States (to clarify that she is not the first to win both, but the first in Colombia, and also the first in the US)
  • the test driver <<<=== Just confirming, is she the only test driver on the team?
  • Is it normal to leave out the driver's height in the infobox?
    • Yes, because the infobox racing template does not allow an editor to add the driver's height MWright96 (talk) 08:42, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Is there a specific type of car or race that she does most often? Or has she participated in so many different types of auto races that it's not worth trying to generalize or mention? Based on all of the different racing series she has been in, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter.

Early life edit

  • Both of her parents operate a Kia Motors dealership in Bogotá. ===>>> Here parents operate a Kia Motors dealership together in Bogotá.

Karting edit

  • She was inspired by ===>>> Calderón was inspired by (Since the previous starts with her mother)
  • rammed by her male rivals and she retaliated ===>>> rammed by her male rivals, forcing her to retaliate (The other way doesn't have parallel sentence structure.)
  • The success led to Calderón receiving her first few outings racing cars, at the age of 14, <<<=== I couldn't find this in any of the sources. (And is "outings racing cars" correct? I'm not sure what means.)

2009 edit

  • one class victory, ten category podium finishes and accrued ===>>> one class victory and ten category podium finishes, accruing (Also, should "class victory" be "race victory"? And is a "category podium" different from a "podium"?)
  • Calderón entered the final three weekends <<<=== Start a new sentence (unless it's directly related to Soucek?)
  • She had tyre issues during her European Series campaign, and Double R Racing's inexperience competing in the championship meant she scored no points in the season. ===>>> Maybe something like "She scored no points during her European Series campaign, in part because..." (I don't feel like either of the first two necessarily imply she wouldn't be able to score points?)
  • Circuit de Catalunya but was illegible ===>>> Circuit de Catalunya but was ineligible

2015 edit

  • Calderón moved from Arden ===>>> Calderón switched teams from Arden

2019 edit

  • for the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship and the first woman to drive in the series ===>>> for the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship and became the first woman to drive in the series
  • and she had two race engineers over the season <<<=== Split into a separate sentence, or make clearer how it fits into the current one.
  • Calderón scored no points and was 22nd in the drivers' standings (add something like ", narrowly missing out on scoring points with an 11th place at (name of LEC / Circuit Paul Ricard race) and four 13th place finishes.")
  • attaining a best finish of 25th in the second race ===>>> retiring in the first race and finishing at 25th in last place in the second.
  • at the all-female ===>>> on the all-female

Driving style edit

  • Calderón's short stature (add "of 5 ft 4 in" with the convert template)

Racing record edit

  • Okay.

Overall edit

  • Well-sourced.
  • No dab links.
  • Can you add short descriptions to the date sub-section headers under racing career to highlight key points (e.g. races, teams, or accomplishments)?
  • It's hard to follow all of the different series, but at the same time, I don't think there is a way to fix that.

Very solid! Placing on hold. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 11:37, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Improved to Good Article status by MWright96 (talk). Self-nominated at 10:59, 26 April 2020 (UTC).Reply

  •  Y Article is long enough (16k characters), is a GA, nominated in time (GA on 25 April, nominated on same day), and article is within policy
  •  ? ALT0 is short enough, interesting and in the article. It's sourced by [1], although this looks like a fansite and not a reliable source. MWright96 what makes [2] a reliable source? And if it isn't, could you find another source for ALT0? Hooks ALT1 & ALT2 are both well sourced, although I think ALT0 is most interesting (we have too many "first" hooks on DYK in my opinion)
  •  Y QPQ done
  •   Question mark on reliability of the hook source is only outstanding issue. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:16, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • @Joseph2302: The site you are referring in the links to is accredited by the FIA, the world governing body of racing, and e-racing.net have sent their staff overseas to report on Formula E races. MWright96 (talk) 16:24, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

The claim about the neck edit

In the source for the statement about the neck increasement, the neck size is something Calderón claims and reports about herself in an interview ("I need to strengthen the neck, so yes is true it grow 9cms"). Hence it is Calderón herself rather than e-racing.net that is the source for the claim. It may very well be true, but as currently phrased in the article (as an objective fact) it must be verified and reported as true by someone independent from Calderón. Another option is to add in-text attribution. (When this was on the main page, I also reported it here). --Bensin (talk) 11:51, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Bensin: I have changed the wording of the claim accordingly MWright96 (talk) 11:56, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! That's better. --Bensin (talk) 12:03, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
