The article says: "Even the placement of Tarsiiformes within suborder Haplorhini (with the monkeys and apes") is still debated.[2][8]"
The references [2] and [8] are from 2002 and 2007 respectively.
Is the placement really still being debated? It might have been in 2002 before the full-genome sequencing of relevant Haplorhini species.
For example, this Nature article shows the molecular evidence proving that "...tarsiers are clearly the sister group to anthropoids in the clade Haplorrhini."
