Update
editHave borrowed a copy of the book now cited in the article and amended the name accordingly. David Kernow 00:57, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- But of course the real person's name may not have matched the fictional character in Monty Python. -- Beardo 22:20, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Taking a look at the contents of this category, it's clear that this article does not belong in it. There are very few biographical articles in there and certainly it's not the place to put unsuccessful parliamentary candidates. One of the sub-categories of Category: Politics of the United Kingdom may be better, but a quick search didn't throw up any obvious ones. Any suggestions? -- Lincolnite 02:17, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editFun as this article is, it's never going to grow significantly, and - as his notability comes solely from having a silly name and standing in the Crosby by-election, 1981 - can best be covered in that article. Warofdreams talk 00:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that's sensible. -- Lincolnite 02:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- I don't object... AnonMoos 18:19, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Aww, there goes the longest article name on Wikipedia. But go ahead anyway :) -- intgr [talk] 19:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- There are longer, such as Stereophonic Musical Listenings That Have Been Origin in Moving Film "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"... AnonMoos 21:46, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- As saddening as it may be... I concur with the merge. Cheers. --Mad Tinman 17:12, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Given the consensus, I've Done the merger. Warofdreams talk 00:51, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
