I am helping to categorize this article. It crossed my mind that Category:Al-Qaeda might be a helpful or useful category, as the entire focus of this article is the relationship between this person and Al-Quaeda and the resulting prosecution. At the same time I don't want to imply that this person is an Al-Qaeda member, so this gives me pause before adding a category. I'd say adding the category is justified. It doesn't necessarily imply that he's a member of Al-Qaeda, only that he's related to it, which (as a result of his prosecution and conviction) he clearly is. I just added {{WikiProject Terrorism}} for the same reason - I don't think it violates BLP, as he's undoubtedly in the scope of the project by being convicted of a terrorism-related crime. The article seems to me to be focused improperly on freedom of speech issues. Based on what I have read here, Mehanna was convicted of planning to conduct a terrorist attack on a suburban mall, among other things. The reference dates from 2009, and the trial results may be different, but perhaps a more comprehensive listing of his convictions is in order in order to avoid giving the impression that his crimes were against sensibility. Absolutely agree. While there may indeed be important freedom of speech issues, when one follows the links backwards (to Islamic Society of Boston), the charges mentioned there are wholly different; so there needs to be some cleanup here, introducing a proper balance to the discussion of charges.
