Original release date / release year

Most sources indicate this album was released in 1970 (Mediarts) or 1971 (United Artists' "re-launch" after they acquired Mediarts). One seemingly authoritative source, www.don-mclean.com indicates the initial Mediarts release year was 1969, "...Don McLean's debut album Tapestry was issued by Mediarts in 1969...". Although elsewhere in the same site, it seems to indicate a release year of 1970 for the album. Perhaps the "recording" may have occured in 1969 but the album's release was in 1970??? If anyone has better references please share them or update the page accordingly Pugetbill (talk) 15:48, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Inspired Greenpeace?

The cited source that the title track inspired the greenpeace movement seems to not actually say that. Is there a part of that quote that's missing? Because I can't find another source to back that up.Justinkrivers (talk) 20:37, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
