I'd quite like to add a picture to this page but this being my frist authored article I'm slightly worried about inadvertantly breaching copyright (that and the image servers are still having prolems). Just felt the urge to fix a couple of typos in the main article. The author could spell psychology, but not university, which is odd. Just a keyboard slip I'm sure, because the uneducated don't bother contributing, but as a generalisation it seems that spelling is no longer important in todays world. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Warrenweasel (talk • contribs) 08:57, 21 April 2006.

Age and maiden name

Anyone know these?

Surely her maiden name is Sichel?

Doesn't her MSc supersede her BSc, and so shouldn't be quoted in her title? Also, isn't the normal way (at least in the UK) to refer to people with doctorates as either Joe Bloggs PhD or Dr Joe Bloggs, never Dr Joe Bloggs PhD? I'm no expert on this but I'm pretty sure that this is the standard form in this country, unless Wikipedia adopts some other convention. BaseTurnComplete 11:31, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree with this. Actually the reference given doesn't say what level of degree she got, just that she did psychology. I'd have thought that the degree she'd got would be a Clin. Psy. D. rather than an MSc but might well be wrong .. Beantrees (talk) 10:13, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Professorship

Other than the reference in the Times Online article (at the bottom of her column) I can't find any reference to her professorship online, not even who has conferred it on her, though she is called "Professor Tanya Byron" in several biog notes. Are you referring to the Professor of the Public Understanding of Science? I had removed this (edited 08.12.08) due to the lack of references. Is it the same as the Simonyi Professorship of the Public Understanding of Science? But then the Times says "a prof.." rather than "the prof...". I'll keep looking. Qualifications

Can't find anything to back up that she has an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. - they are described in various biogs as "Clinical Psychology masters" and "doctorate" and I think that the original author may have assumed they were the same thing as an M.Sc. or Ph.D. (not necessarily). Anyone mind if I change this section to reflect the information in (for example) http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/byronreview/biog.shtml? Beantrees (talk) 12:57, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

The article referenced at reference 1 doesn't confirm she was born in the UK.

Station of broadcast of "Am I Normal?"

Does any one remember the station that "Am I Normal?" was on? I seem to recall it was either BBC Four or BBC Two. If any one does remember this, it could go in the article. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 19:27, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
