Contents don't match sourcing - Clean up required edit

I removed the two unreliable sources (Family Search) and started checking the article. I had only begun to check and found a lot of original research or things made up that are not in the sources in the article. Peoples names and events aren't referenced in the sources. Clean up required. Netherzone (talk) 21:41, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Also, writing based on Adam Miller's website might be foul of WP:SPS. It's a personal website. Graywalls (talk) 22:01, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

* Under Tantamount Theater fire section add "Structural loss of the building was estimated between $80,000 (equivalent to $373,714 in 2023) and $100,000 (equivalent to $467,143 in 2023)."[1]

  • Replace the bogus citation: [2] with this one: [3]

Greg, please stop requesting disputed edits or the use of disputed sources with a plain face like you're simply suggesting a change for the first time WITHOUT including what happened. I removed the value of loss. In the article, it reads "loss of the building was estimated today by owner Francois martin at between $80,000 and $100,000" which is dubious info. Even if it was accurate, it is undue and I removed this from the article, because WP:NOTEVERYTHING. Regarding Carmelresidents.org as a source, what did @Melcous: say in User_talk:Greghenderson2006#Articles_with_content_not_matching_sources? The way in which you request contentious edit is questionable. Graywalls (talk) 18:18, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Fine, in the aboe request edit, I will remove the 2nd item, but the first and last ones are valid. The 1st is to simply provide a link to the article on Jeanne D'Orge. The second request is to improve/replace the citation from the Carmel Residents Association with the online version: Evenings at the Tantamount Theater, which contains the actual article from the book. The reason this source is reliable is because it is an article written by a secondary source on the topic. This source talks about the Tantamount Theater, the people that started it, and Program Cover for the Tantamount Theater. These are two edits would make the article more reliable.

Done both requests. The first one is uncontentious. For the third one, the source may not be relaible, but my edit in question doesn't change that - it seems from the linked discussion that the newsletter article more closely verifies the text, since there's a dispute over what is actually part of a book nobody can access. * Pppery * it has begun... 23:02, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
