Why does Boyne Island re-direct to here? AFAIK, the two are separate towns - at least, officially. QazPlm 10:28, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Boyne Island and Tannum Sands should probably both redirect to a Boyne Island & Tannum Sands article or similar as they are next to each other, seperated only by the Boyne river (joined by Boyne bridge). Most of the information on this page refers to both Boyne and Tannum combined, and the information that does not should be changed to reflect both i.e. population 144.139.223.95 08:33, 18 November 2006 (UTC).Reply
While there is some movement towards Boyne Island and Tannum Sands being seen as one entity called Boyne Tannum, there is a lot of resistance within the two communities which see themselves as separate entities. For Many years there was no bridge and the communities developed quite differently. It is only the last 10 years in which the two communities have become more entwined. The recenct residential growth and the influx of people with no awareness of the history may change this in time. Stwhite1 (talk) 22:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

I can find evidence this event took place in 2009 but nothing since then. If nobody can come up with a citation showing it had a longer life or is still runinng, I think it's time to shift it to be a one-off event in the History section. Kerry (talk) 04:58, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
