Talk:Tannenbergbund

Any indication of what Ludendorff's former colleagues thought of this (e.g. Hindenburg, Mackensen, Groener)? Mackensen (talk) 17:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the article somewhat covers Hindenburg's and Mackensen's thoughts on the subject. Groener has become almost a historical footnote, and not too many of his thoughts are available in English publications. As for, "...and Hindenburg snubbing Ludendorff's speech at the dedication of a Battle of Tannenberg memorial in 1927", it's somewhat confusing. By snubbing the speech, is it meant that Hindenburg didn't attend the dedication (I believe he was there), or left the dedication during Ludendorff's speech, or what? Don't presently have the time to read Wheeler-Bennett. Maybe someone knows what all of that is about. Dr. Dan (talk) 01:08, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
According to the book he was at the dedication but left before Ludendorff made his speech. Keresaspa (talk) 00:51, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
