Talk:Tamsui Church

I see two issues with this article.

This first issue, minor, is that this article looks like a stub. Unfortunately I don't know what exactly qualifies an article as a stub.

The assertion that Tamsui church was built by Japan is a likely incorrect extrapolation of the source. TaiwanEase only indicate that Tamsui church was built during the Japanese colonial period (this is corroborated by other sources). My understanding is that the church was built (by converting existing dorms on land purchased before Japanese occupation) by George William Mackay (偕叡廉) in 1945[1]. It appears that construction was approved by the (presumably Japanese) government (or a local authority acting on their behalf) but without reference to funding or deeper involvement[2].

I'm not sure what rules apply to transferring knowledge between not-same language versions of Wikipedia. I know not whether quoting sources in a foreign language is acceptable (I would consider quoting not the foreign language Wikipedia article, but (inasmuch as possible, after verification) primary references. I hope that somebody can advise on this; after a reasonable delay I would correct "build by Japan" to "built during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan", then likely seek English sources corroborating the facts.
