Please read BLP. This wiki is complient and I believe meets the standards of notability. This is the first wiki I've ever put up so excuse my lack of it's technical terminology. Nothing below is meant to be read with any tone other than that of wanting to present my reasoning and the facts I attribute to why she is notable. thank you.

She is an accomplished award winning casting director.

On October 1, 1994 the Los Angeles times ran this, "Out Magazine Spotlights Gays in Hollywood Media: Although no one in the November issue was `outed' many industry insiders called and wanted to be a part of it." written by David Fox.

Here is the abstract of that piece, per the Los Angeles Times. "The magazine devotes nearly 30 pages to the article, with profiles and photographs of prominent gays and non-gays in Hollywood. Featured gays and lesbians include "Married . . . With Children's" Amanda Bearse, producer Alan Poul, playwright and screenwriter Paul Rudnick, Amblin Entertainment producer Bruce Cohen, producer Neil Mehron, casting director Tammy Billik, producers Barry Krost and Doug Chapin, writer Richard Gollance, adult video director Chichi LaRue, scenic artist Johnmichael Hull and producer Leslie Belzberg."

Note Billik among the prominent lesbians singled out by the writer in his abstract. [1]

She is important in the gay and lesbian community because of the visiblity she brings to it's plight thru her work as a CD. The casting of those huge hollywood names (Sean Penn, Laura Dern, kd lang, Oprah etc...) in the puppy episode brought about a dramatic public shift and perception of gays both in the media and in the mainstream. I realize it may not be quantifieable to many...but a shift did occur.

She is also an accomplished producer, whose work has been accepted into the Sundance Film Festival.

I would also respectfully ask editors to please consider this -- taken from the Wiki notablity guideline page:

"Although articles should demonstrate the notability of their topics, and articles on topics that do not meet this criterion are generally deleted, it is important to not just consider whether notability is established by the article, but whether it readily could be. When discussing whether to delete or merge an article due to non-notability, the discussion should focus not only on whether notability is established in the article, but on what the probability is that notability could be established. If it is likely that significant coverage in independent sources can be found for a topic, deletion due to lack of notability is inappropriate unless active effort has been made to find these sources. For articles of unclear notability, deletion should be a last resort.

If an article fails to cite sufficient sources to demonstrate the notability of its subject, look for sources yourself, or:

  • Ask the article's creator or an expert on the subject[7] for advice on where to look for sources.
  • Put the {{Notability|date=March 2009}} tag on the article to alert other editors.
  • If the article is about a specialized field, use the {{Expert-subject|date=March 2009}} tag with a specific WikiProject to attract editors knowledgeable about that field, who may have access to reliable sources not available online."
