The Article can be clubbed in the Article "Tamil". As that would make more sense than creating another article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.92.223.195 (talk) 19:47, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, it will not be apt to club this article with Tamil. Its not about Tamil but about the song Invocation to Tamil Goddess. I think this article has enough informations and all the valid reasons to continue as a separate article.R.Sivanesh Proud to be an Indian (talk) 15:01, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unedited version of "தமிழ்த் தாய் வாழ்த்து"

edit

The "தமிழ்த் தாய் வாழ்த்து" as given above is the politically corrected (read edited) version. But this version is corrupted as it could be seen in the flawed structure of the poetry. This poetry is scripted in the format of couplets (கண்ணிகள்). The gramatical convention of singing கண்ணி will be always in 2 lines together with எதுகை and perfect rhyme. Its shaded bold in the poetry below. But the last lines in the official version are neither rhythemic, nor fitting in the கண்ணி format. The word தமிழணங்கே is repeated twice. This doesnt fit into the கண்ணி format. Likewise, the last line that starts as நின் சீரிளமைத் திறம்வியந்து is alone without any accompanying line, nor the எதுகை is accompanied. சுந்தரம் பிள்ளை is a great scholarly poet and hence he could not have scripted such an erroneous lines.

Here is the original version as scripted by

Now see, the எதுகை is falling perfectly as per the யாப்பு structure with rhyme. மனோன்மணீயம் சுந்தரம் பிள்ளை is a great scholar and poet. Editing his work without his permission is arrogance. Its everybodys guess who could be that arrogant. It is a great insult to cut the lines of the original poetry. The edited form suggests that மனோன்மணீயம் சுந்தரம் பிள்ளை is an ordinary poet who has sung the song with errors. Shame on the political class who did this editing work and left the history untold.

This is the ORIGINAL VERSION. NOT the one given above. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Svbalaganesan (talkcontribs) 17:00, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have added certain lines to reflect your emotions. Kindly improvise on the same.R.Sivanesh Proud to be an Indian (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:22, 20 April 2010 (UTC).Reply
