TECRO's do not enjoy many diplomatic privileges, cannot provide any consular protection and their staffs do not have any diplomatic immunity; the locations of the TECRO's are still the land of the host country.
Given the above, how is a TECRO a de facto embassy or consulate? -- ran (talk) 16:58, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

TECRO is a de facto embassy/consulate because although it does everything that a regular embassy/consulate, it is not classified as a diplomatic mission, since TECROs are established in countries that has no diplomatic relations. Bourquie 2:09 UTC, 25 Jul 2006
Title edit
I'm wondering about the title of this page. These offices are called TECRO in some countries, but in some countries they have other names, such as "Taipei Mission in Sweden" for the Stockholm office. And it seems that there are several other variants of the name, for example without the "E" and/or the "C". Should this page be renamed into something else (and in that case, what)?
