editThe information on chapter Criticism is not acceptable for anyone having the understanding of media nowadays. TRT is a state owned media, yes! But such as RT or France 24 and many others. As other channels blowing over their own propaganda, there is no reason to mention the below information for TRT WORLD ONLY. Either you should remove it or put the same criticism for all articles on state owned channels such as France 24.
Wikipedia is not a place of propaganda so please remove such accusation or Allow me to add such chapter to all state owned media articles you have on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ErbekBozok (talk • contribs) 16:15, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- As I mentioned at Talk:France 24#Not adhering to WP:NPOV. (TW), and on your talk page, just because a channel is state-funded, does not mean it is propaganda. It depends to what extent they follow accepted journalism ethics and standards. This analysis should be made by expert reliable, independent sources, which need to be cited. So no, you may not remove cited statements about TRT World just because France 24 is not described as propaganda, and without citations, you may not add statements to all state-funded media channels saying they are propaganda. The RT News article already says that it's propaganda, with citations. --IamNotU (talk) 17:20, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
Remove information on Criticism
editThis information is just harmful for the channel and does only bring some statements from journalists quitting their jobs. This has nothing fair to present a news channel on Wikipedia.
On the same, there are many state owned news channels nowadays such as France 24, BBC or RT or Al Jazeera and many others. Instead of mentioning here that TRT World is a propaganda channel, maybe remove it or add this mention to all articles about state owned channels to be FAIR and SQUARE.
Criticism on a news channel only brings one sided statements that are also to be considered as allegations / accusations without any interest as this channel is still broadcasting worldwide. ErbekBozok (talk) 17:12, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Criticism paragraph Not adhering to WP:NPOV. (TW)
editNot adhering to WP:NPOV. (TW) As it is stating some point of view accusing of propaganda whereas this is not the place on Wikipedia ErbekBozok (talk) 22:45, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Paid propaganda accusations needs to be added
editTRT as has a lot of accusations by other main stream media of being a propaganda tool for turkey and Pakistan
This needs to be added in.

- Perhaps TRT World should advertise India's Mody government a little to gain your approval. 46.31.112.213 (talk) 13:37, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
POV and outdated information.
editThis article pushes strong bias against Turkish state-backed TRT including loaded language and various sources linked to journals and columnists from countries that pretty much don't get along very well with the country, while lacking sources that defend its propaganda, especially regarding the current crisis in Gaza, thus it violates WP:NPOV.
Keep in mind that state-owned (or any other form of) media are supposed to push propaganda for said countries' interests. For example BBC is backed by the UK supposed to push the interests of it.
By "outdated information," I mean there is an extreme lack of information about TRT World coverage concerning the current assault in Gaza that started on Oct.7. Aegesar (talk) 18:13, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
