Hi, this currently reads like an advert, and is almost identical to 091 Labs. I don't want to cut anything myself, but I'd suggest removing or rewriting paragraphs 2 and 3. Are there more independent sources you can cite to demonstrate notability? Cheers, Ms7821 (talk) 03:26, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Here's a possible citation from around the time of the Irish Times article. I don't know whether Patrick is a member of Tog, but if not, that'll help.
A more recent mention would still be needed to show you didn't just enjoy fleeting interest. Don't forget that radio or TV mentions can be included and might count as secondary sources - have you done any interviews? Also, I think it's a good idea to keep a press page for all media/independent mentions, even if you don't have an article. Ms7821 (talk) 01:29, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
I also see no problem with citing the first announcement email as a factual (not notability) citation.
Sourcing for notability: Irish Times, Silicon Republic edit
I looked into sourcing from the Irish Times to establish notablity.
Irish Times edit
Searching the Irish Times website for hackerspace turns up four results. There are definitely other relevant articles, but "hacker" has 459 results; anybody want to wade through?
- April 4, 2009 (archives) - Hackers seek physical space outside the virtual world. Since the lede (which *is* available) says "Dublin will soon be home to a space for hackers to congregate and get creative, write LENNY ANTONELLIand JASON WALSH", I think this one is useful for establishing notability. This purports to be a copy.
- July 7, 2009 Homemade products for the internet generation this purports to be a mirror; it's mostly about MakerBot and (according to the mirrored copy) doesn't appear to mention Irish hackerspaces.
- Seven days of science -- 4 paragraphs about an event, under the heading "Building It, TOG, Nov 13th and 21st, Warehouse Unit C, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8 "
- Hazards of working round the clock go far beyond permanent jet-lag feeling -- event mention: "Inside a PC: Take apart the pieces of a computer to see how they work. 8.30pm, TOG hackerspace, Dublin. Entry free; for more see www.tog.ie/events"
Articles older than 12 months are in the paid archives. Does someone have access to those?
Silicon Republic edit
In Silicon Republic I've only found about 7 event listings from Innovation Dublin (like this one). Not helpful for notability. I searched for tog and hackerspace.
