Changing article title?

edit

Should the name of the article be changed? The clashes have spread beyond Idlib governorate. David O. Johnson (talk)

What would be a better name for it? A majority of the fighting is in Idlib and the clashes began there as well. Takinginterest01 (talk) 01:35, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

What about HTS-SLF clashes? David O. Johnson (talk)

Right now the conflict is still in early stages and could get to a point where it isn't exclusively just SLF and HTS and more factions could eventually join in for example Suqour Al Sham just joined the fighting without being part of SLF as of right now, SLF is solely Zenki movement and Ahrar Al Sham. Also if I recall correctly at least one or two other pages in regards to rebel infighting in Idlib say there was some spill over to Hama and Aleppo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Takinginterest01 (talkcontribs) 02:13, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Zenki Movement assassins and cells

edit

Why was that removed this was one thing that sparked the conflict and gave HTS a cause belli to act. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Takinginterest01 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Turkistan Islamic Party

edit

They have not stated they are involved so far they have released two statements about the situation and in both statements they warned of getting involved and even said they wished to remain neutral, I think they should be removed from the infobox.

Why one side of the confict in the title is in English and other one in Arabic?

edit

Hello, I am curious about non-uniform and sub-standard wording of the current title "Syrian Liberation Front–Tahrir al-Sham conflict", seems weird to call one group by its english name and another by arabic one so I propose a change into either calling both alliances by their english names or by their arabic names, thus changing names to either "Syrian Liberation Front–Levant Liberation Committee conflict" or "Jabhat Tahrir Souriya–Tahrir al-Sham conflict". The article title is using the names most commonly used in english sources. Hayat Tahir al-Sham is the name commonly used for the group in english sources, despite it being Arabic, and in english sources Jabhat Tahrir Souriya is most commonly translated into english as Syrian Liberation Front, though both are used.
