Notability edit

This article fails to meet the criteria for notability. (see WP:NOT and WP:NOT#DIR) Since this is a new article, I'm not going to nominate it for deletion now, contingent on new material being added in the next few days to show that it meets notability criteria. Bell Schedule edit

I could be wrong, but I don't think that a Bell Schedule of a local high school would be very encyclopedic or necessary. Could someone with more familiarity with Wikipedia's policies verify or deny this? Thanks. 67.182.231.24 05:00, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're right - I removed it. Arthur 20:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Staff lists edit

Some IP editors are trying to put a list of current staff into the article. While this may have short-term interest, it doesn't fit well for an encyclopedia, which is why it's been recommended to remove such lists in the school article guidelines. Please discuss it before putting such information into the article. AliveFreeHappy (talk) 07:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup needed edit

Article overhaul, future of the article edit

The article felt very improper compared to the Wiki articles for other schools in the same school district. It also contained a number of areas that stood to be reworded or fixed due to formatting syntax issues. I overhauled it, hoping to create a framework for others to implement information in an organized and proper format.

Sections that need more detail or creation:

  • Events in the "culture" section. This may need to be moved into a section along the lines of "Historical Events" or "Significant Events"
  • Include Performing/Visual Arts, Clubs and other significant in-school organization information.
  • Athletic achievements for recent years (post 2012).

Concerning the "Syracuse Strong" section: This is a fairly significant event for the school and its community. However, I purposefully left out names and details about the student deaths due to lack of permission (and out of respect). I did include one source to a local news article (the KSL News article) which contains more information in case users wish to read further.

Other ideas: Replace the Titan logo in the right bar with a picture of the school itself, moving the logo to the bottom of the right bar or into a dedicated section under "Culture". — Preceding unsigned comment added by DasRdzy (talkcontribs) 02:05, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
