Also seems to be a type of lighted diagram showing the status of aircraft hydraulic systems. 2600:1700:4CA1:3C80:CC3E:8F4C:EB34:1382 (talk) 06:29, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Synoptic Bookkeeping Journal

edit

Synoptic Bookkeeping Journal, a manual bookkeeping system of debits and credits which provides a comprehensive view of every account via a spreadsheet. Every transaction is recorded only once, on one spreadsheet line, in debit and credit accounts, such that the total debits equal the total credits. To verify that the transaction is completely recorded, a Hash column could contain a formula to total all money entries on that line; when all debits and credits are properly recorded, the Hash line total will equal zero.

For example, let's say you have the following account titles on line 1 of your spreadsheet: Date, Description, Clothing, Groceries, Cash, Hash.

To record the cash purchase transaction on June 1, 2023 at Walmart of shoes $100 and groceries $250, you would put the following entries on the next line:

2023-06-01 in the Date column, Walmart: shoes & groceries in the Description column, 100.00 in the Clothing column, 250.00 in the Groceries column, and -350.00 in the Cash column. The Hash column should equal zero because +100+250-350=0.00. Monbar99 (talk) 18:19, 7 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
