Question

Shouldn't the article "TheSyndicateProject" be redirected here? They're one in the same. Ericwall (talk) 21:12, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

FTC and deceptive practices

I can't edit the article due to it's protection, but I think information from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-34138251 should be added to the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.40.144 (talk) 12:58, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Tom Cassell (Born 23 June 1993) known as TheSyndicateProject, Tom Syndicate or sometimes simply Syndicate, is a 20 year old British gaming commentator and vlogger.[1] His channel was opened on 3 September 2010, and he quickly grew to be one of the biggest gaming channels on YouTube, with over 6,600,000 subscribers to date making him the 1st most subscribed UK channel. The channel was originally built on Halo and Modern Warfare 2 videos, but came to prominence with the release of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops zombies mode, and further grew due to the series 'The Minecraft Project'. He is also number 29 on the most subscribed YouTubers list, just under Yogscast Lewis & Simon. Syndicate now divides his time between the UK and Los Angeles. Cassell received media attention due to leaving his school and job in order to become a YouTuber.

Channels

Cassell currently operates on two main channels, one for gameplays and other related videos, the other for vlogs, he also used another channel at one point for various Grand Theft Auto IV game plays but this channel has not been uploaded to for a while (SyndicatePlays). Cassell also announced in his first video on TheSyndicateProject that he had several claims of copyright infringement on previous channels.

Channel Name Active?

Please add the CS:GO Lotto Scandal that Tom was accused of being a part of. It is absolutely the largest amount of negative press he has ever received and arguably the most publicized CS:GO gambling scandal in the game's history.

30th June 2016, Cassell's involvement with popular gambling site https://CSGOLotto.com with evidence[1] to show that he and youtuber TmarTn jointly own the site, as vice-president and president respectively. Having posted videos relating to winning large amounts of money while sending users to the site without stating that the videos are endorsed by CSGOLotto[2]

Article quality

This article needs a massive update/ rewrite; it currently seems to overemphasize negative aspects of his career and, frankly, seems like it was written by someone with some kind of vendetta against the guy. The average person who looks him up would be more interested to know about him and what he does without about 50% of the article consisting of quibbling criticisms that aren't really edifying, nor the kind of information people would be looking for when searching for him most of the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.114.148 (talk) 17:46, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

10 Million Subscribers Removal Issue

Hello, I recently added some text to the page about Tom's 3rd channel and the situation with him hitting 10 million subs 3 times, I cited this with the actual videos from Tom. For some reason someone decided to remove all the text and added the citations/references were poor??? How can they be poor references when they come directly from the person themselves. Also the info is directly what he says in one of the videos mentioned.

Secondly the issue with the play buttons, since Tom never actually received a play button, I feel that it should not be shown on the page, he has been below 10 million for a few years now so I don't think it qualifies. If it was my channel and I hit 100,000 subs and within days went down to 80,000 I wouldn't class myself as eligible. You have to be stable at that level for some time in order to qualify.

May I ask that if you disagree or want to remove that part of the article could you please leave a message on here or ask a senior moderator/admin before just deleting it.

Thanks, StewySphinx69 (talk) 00:00, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Allegations of sexual assault

With no current evidence it may mot be appropriate.

Add a new segment called Controversies

Text below it

In June 2020 Cassell has several allegations made against him for sexual abuse towards his former partners, the allegations have not yet been confirmed but Cassell denied it. In a tweet he said "I honestly don't know what to say with all these allegations being made against me. I'm in actual shock. I seriously am. I want to address every single thing that's been said. I will be making a statement regarding all the false allegations in the following days."
