Inconsistency in terminology edit

There appears to be an inconsistency in terminology:

1. Sinfonia concertante -> Article on WP

2. Symphony concertante -> Redirect to Symphony Concertante (Kubik) on WP

3. Concertante symphony -> Parts of certain names of works on IMSLP

4. Concertante symphonies -> Category on WP referring to items called 1, 2, Symphony-Concerto, and Symphonie Concertante.

5. Symphonies concertantes -> Category on IMSLP referring to IMSLP categories called either of 3 above AND Sinfonie Concertante and Symphonie Concertante

I think Symphony Concertante should redirect to Sinfonia concertante instead. Besides on WP either 1, 4 or both should be renamed to the same thing and maybe some more redirects may be needed. LazyStarryNights (talk) 21:47, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Item 2 happened as a result of a page move. The article was not about such works in general, but about a particular work by a particular composer (Gail Kubik), and it needed to be titled appropriately. But now that that's been taken care of, I agree that the original page Symphony Concertante should redirect to Sinfonia concertante. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:56, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Done. Now for the other points, I'll raise them on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Classical music LazyStarryNights (talk) 22:13, 24 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
... except that all (or most of) the incoming links to Symphony Concertante are obviously meant for Symphony Concertante (Kubik), a work which is not even mentioned at Sinfonia concertante and which has only a single incoming link. I recommend reading and following WP:USURPTITLE whenever REDIRECT pages are changed. Until then, I suggest to revert the change of target of this REDIRECT. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:58, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
OK I did not realise this and undid my change. The reason I though the change was safe was because the history showed that JackofOz only created this redirect a week ago and he had no objections. Not sure what went wrong in my thinking. LazyStarryNights (talk) 07:18, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
