I made significant edits to this article today including the following...
- Corrected the native range. Plant appears to be native to three states in Brazil, primarily Bahia. The article originally claimed the plant occured in California, but I imagine this was a mistake, as I can find no proof of natural occurance in the U.S., however there is a ranch near their habitat by that name, and the plants are in cultivation in California, or have been introduced there for landscaping.
- Tweaked characteristics section and hardiness.
- Improved ecological importance information.
- Removed unsourceable material.
- Added sources.
The article is nowhere near perfect, and I will continue to work with it. I hope others will chose to do the same. Jo7hs2 (talk) 20:14, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
