The Swedish House Mafia is only Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tristanm81 (talkcontribs) 22:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
- According to the official site the Swedish house mafia includes Prydz. Source: [[1]]
If that really is an official website, then it's outdated. Prydz is not part of the Mafia at the moment.Tristanm81 (talk) 00:34, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is Laidback Luke actually a part of the Swedish House Mafia, or did he just join them for the single "Leave the World Behind"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.106.179.190 (talk) 01:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion edit

Strong keep: Proposed deletion is very hasty and unwarranted. The band has had at least 2 songs which have charted in multiple countries, top 10 in most of Europe, including 2 number ones in Netherlands. They have also collaborated with 2 major international artists, are signed to EMI and an album is due out in 2 weeks' time. Deletion would also lead to several orphaned articles on singles and album, which are also notable as they have charted.

A quick Google search reveals 2.34 million hits, which seems substantial, and hence shows their popularity. They've also been interviewed by national UK newspaper The Guardian, and London newspaper The Metro.

Deletion tag (and a speedy one at that) was entirely unwarranted in my opinion. Feudonym (talk) 08:22, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Believe In Me Now by Taio Cruz is NOT produced by any member of the Swedish House Mafia. This is just not true. It is a Red One produced track! Change it, at least there are now references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.180.76.166 (talk) 11:49, 28 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The music they do is NOT House at all! edit

What lDlOT typed there this group does house?! Never! At least, very commercial, strange kind of house... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.175.65.90 (talk) 08:21, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Each of the DJs individually focused on house, and the music they make may be commercial but would surely fall under Prog House? 62.69.46.16 (talk) 14:27, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Album Release Date edit

Second time I've had to either remove content or request a citation for the release date of the (alleged) Live Album to be released. The first time the date was stated to be December 27th 2011 (which was incorrect and had no reference) and this time it has been set to January 27th 2012 again with no reference. Articles are no place for speculation or rumor. Joe Harrison (talk) 14:41, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Holding in the British Virgin Islands edit

Hello, today I noticed a weird thing, or at least I believe so.

Under any video or music produced by SHM there is this footnote:

The copyright in this audiovisual recording is owned by EMI Records Ltd under exclusive licence from Swedish House Mafia Holdings Ltd (BVI)

I was wondering, does anybody have any information on this holding, apparently located in the British Virgin Islands?

It appears we now know what this company is for since Swedish House Mafia was named in the Pandora Papers.

Date of formation? edit

It says in the text that "the group officially formed in late 2008" but then it also says the first production, Get Dumb, was released in 2007. Additionally, the article doesn't mention Eric Prydz who, supposedly, was an original member who left.

In contrast, an article on Resident Advisor (http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?749) that was published June 2006 mentions SHM (incl. Prydz) and an article on http://www.elektrodaily.com/news/2012/05/eric-prydz-talks-his-swedish-house-mafia-connections/ mentions SHM as a collective already in 2004.

What goes? Shouldn't the less organized, "collective" version of SHM - including Prydz - be mentioned in the article too? --I96danma (talk) 22:03, 14 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Bio Picture Caption edit

The caption lists 4 members left to right, despite there only being 3 members and those 3 featured in the photo... Who is 'Andrew Teon'? Google comes up with nothing, looks like vandalism Sniggey (talk) 17:21, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Members" section edit

Hi

Why on earth is there a section for the members?

They have their own pages - all of them!

That section is unnecessary and needs removing. Chaosdruid (talk) 11:42, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Years Active edit

@Jwatson713: Hello. May I remind you and other editors that 2018 is the present year, thus the (-present) word is not needed in the Years Active section. This is also further clarified by other experienced editors in the View History section of the page.

If the group is still together next year, then the 2018-present text can only be added. Thank you. aNode (discuss) 09:53, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
