Political Views? edit

What are her politics, religion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.41.122.142 (talk) 13:11, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

The article says she's Roman Catholic. Given that she's said she modeled some aspects of Panem after the Bush administration, I'd guess she's a political liberal, though she might be a cynic who regards all politicians as corrupt. If I had a proper reference for that, I could add that to the article. 50.46.156.208 (talk) 09:19, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Added info about Time 100 edit

I also added the source in the References section. But it is not formatted correctly. If someone could fix that, it would be appreciated. Lilly (talk) 16:56, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is there any evidence, anecdotal or not, as to the veracity of claims that Collins was involved with the American remake of Battle Royale before she began writing Hunger Games? I've heard it from two sources who worked with Roy Lee in 2006 and 2007 but have not been able to find any physical proof of the claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DokMGog (talkcontribs) 04:17, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

School shooting in author's hometown edit

Shouldn't the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting be mentioned in this article, since she lives in that same area?

It shouldn't be. Collins had nothing to do with the shooting. Gloss • talk 20:23, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 8 January 2014 edit

There is "Collins'" written in the middle of the article. The proper possessive form is "Collins's" for singular nouns. 83.31.48.177 (talk) 20:01, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Collins' works just the same as Collins's. Gloss • talk 20:02, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Accusations of plagarism. edit

Theres been plenty. How come theres nothing about it here? This lady isn't notable enough to have a locked page either. 174.49.150.27 (talk) 08:55, 15 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Battle Royale" would be the title of the original work - just in case someone doesn't know yet :-) --217.50.143.136 (talk) 17:40, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Inclusion of Battle Royale similarities on this page, in addition to novel's page and trilogy page edit

Seems like the Battle Royale similarities should also be on this page, but another user disagrees. Many people only go to this page, and see content regarding the author's offered inspirations for The Hunger Games, which would seemingly invite a more comprehensive account thereof. These similarities have been reported on by The New York Times, ABC News, and others. Thoughts?Gentlejackjones (talk) 00:22, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Divorced? edit

The page currently states that Suzanne Collins is divorced but I can't find any reliable authority that confirms that fact. I am going to remove it from the page but if someone can find a reliable source for that proposition please feel free to add it back in. A few data collection websites suggested it but either (a) seemed to reference this article or (b) were inconsistent (e.g., one stated she was currently married but then referenced a separation in 2015).
