What name to use? edit

The Cambodian and Thai versions of this character is basically identical. The problem is, their names are not pronounced exactly the same. I moved this article from 'Sovanna Maccha' to the Pali romanization. I'm not sure if this is the best though. The Sanskrit name would be Suvarnamatsya. --Dara (talk) 02:47, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Thai name is Suphana Matcha (Subarna Maccha), although it is commonly romanized as Supanna Matcha and dozens of other ways. --Dara (talk) 02:49, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Proposed Deletion edit

The deletion reason was not valid. The story of Suvanmaccha appears in South East Asian versions of Ramayana and sourced. Jethwarp (talk) 02:14, 21 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
