Organization and Sources

- The list of Notable Conferences and Programs should be updated to include more recent information, as the most recent conference in the article was nearly 15 years ago, in 2003. For example, one could add the First Global Meeting for the 10YFP in 2015 – which was the first international meeting following that which instated the implementation of the “Marrakeh Process” (mentioned in the previous notable conference). Additionally, each of the notable conferences and programs could potentially use short summaries to provide context for readers.

- The organization of the article could be made more clear by including the definition of sustainable consumption in the lead section, and then adding sections including examples of consumer behaviors that qualify as sustainable consumption, along with detailing strong and weak sustainable consumption – however, the information under this title currently comes off as having bias and should be improved by rewriting in a more neutral tone. It would be helpful to depict characteristics of strong and weak sustainable consumption, without discussing strong as a goal to be "achieved" as that can come across as showing bias, rather than an objective description of the consumer behavior.

- The majority of the sources are from the United Nations, most of which are references in the “Notable conferences and Programs” section, and the Oslo definition is also referenced by the UN, so it could be beneficial to the article to add additional sources so as to be careful to not put too much emphasis on one point of view.
