A speedy tag was on this but seems to have disappeared in the move. This is a good solid article, and a historic subject. I'd be happy for it to be kept, or otherwise merged with the parents' article. Tyrenius 02:39, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was checking new pages and this had a WP:SPEEDY tag, but it had 4 references. A few changes to make it look better, and it's a nice article. She seems pretty famous, too, although I don't know anything about Methodism. We should definitely keep this article. - Peregrine Fisher 05:11, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
My mistake I tagged the article before it was wikified. At that point I couldn't tell that she was both the daughter and the mother of important people as I know nothing about Methodism and the links weren't there. At that point seemed to me to be about a person who led an interesting life but asserted no notability and had some religious POV issues. I tag a lot of articles and I do make a mistake here and there, my apologies and thanks to those of you who have worked to clean up the article. --Daniel J. Leivick 05:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
No problem and quite understandable in the circumstances. Allowance is made for those in the "front line" – and that's official![1] Tyrenius 06:02, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think I liked "In spite of her religious practices throughout her life she didn’t become deeply religious until after she was seventy" better than "She maintained her faith and practiced daily devotions, but it was not until after she was seventy that she experienced a deeper spiritual fulfilment." It matches the web references better. Any preferences? - Peregrine Fisher 06:10, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're quite correct. To be honest, I was just tidying up the text on the page and hadn't gone to the refs. I've put in a correction. Amend if you wish. Tyrenius 06:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
The abbreviated text does not sound like the Susanna Wesley we had previously envisioned. Maybe it's more accurate, but it would be a shift. What does the word 'religious' mean?MaynardClark (talk) 18:32, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
