How can the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race be termed the worlds slowest race? The last runner in the 2012 Virgin London marathon ran 8:25 which is a 20 minute per mile pace. The minimum pace required to finish in the 52 day time limit is a little over 18 minutes per mile.
