I dont understand why they cancled it, Rayz | answer: if you read the article carefully you will understand. CRAZY SCIENTIST

just create a page about n64 games that were cancelled and the reasons they cancelled the development of those.

I'm pretty sure that that picture was a Nintendo Power April Fools joke.

Sequels Section edit

Easily the most biased and uncitated thing I've ever seen. Someone fix please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.49.164 (talk) 22:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nintendo DS edit

with that last quote in the article, it looks like the author was trying to imply that Miyamoto was talking about Super Mario 64 DS. 20:38, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

That would be like merging Star Fox Command and Star Fox 2 just because Star Fox Command is based on Star Fox 2. There's no denying that they're totally seperate games, there certainly wasn't any co-op in SM64DS, even if they do have similar elements. SM64DS was influenced by SM642, just like SMS was influenced by SM642. --Blinkstale 02:14, 11 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Would someone please implement this if they have the time? I found this IGN article just before going out the door, I'll work on it this afternoon if somebody else doesn't cover it first. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blinkstale (talkcontribs) 16:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Already done, but the article is still in need of a little structuring and cleanup work. Dancter 16:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Shoot, sorry about that, forgot to sign...in abit of a rush at the time. Still not quite used to having an actual sign button for some reason. Thanks though! --Blinkstale 18:56, 21 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Recategorization proposal edit

I'm proposing to move this and a few other games from Category:Mario platform games. Please see discussion there. --Heywood 18:46, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Article Deletion Objection edit

I've taken down the article deletion notice on the front page on the basis of the objection that I believe this game was indeed noteworthy, as it signified the first steps in what later led to SM64DS having multiplayer and Super Mario Galaxy having single screen co-op. I will attempt to clean up this page later, but this is a very busy week for me, and it was sheer luck/chance that I happened to check in on the page before it was deleted. Just as an update to anyone who reads these, I think it's all sorted out now. Almost everything is cited on the page. I actually did this a while back, but didn't mention it until now. Cheers, --Blinkstale 20:34, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge edit

Super Mario Sunshine is the sequel to Super Mario 64, and is a re-tooled version of the cancelled Super Mario 64 2. --PJ Pete

Incorrect. As cited on the main page, "[it became] other games" rather than leading to one game in particular. While Super Mario Sunshine was the next 3D Mario platformer released after Super Mario 64, it was not the same game as Super Mario 64 2, and was clearly not based on the same idea (most easily seen through the lack of multiplayer in Super Mario Sunshine).--Blinkstale 00:44, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
