Trees
editThe trees in the picture have gone from oaks, to scrub oaks, to kermès oaks. Is this supported by any source? --LukeSurl t c 21:19, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
- The area he was painting is called the Garrigue. Naturally, people comment on Van Gogh's love for the region and expound on the vegetation. Abductive (reasoning) 00:31, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
- Anyway, the present form of the article, in which van Gogh's own description of "very small twisted oaks" is given, and a link to the Garrigue article wherein the flora is listed, is very good. Abductive (reasoning) 06:43, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Identity of Mustad's advisor
editThere is some question as to whether it was the French Ambassador or some other collector. Don't delete the line "according to his family". Amandajm (talk) 06:46, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
