Surely, there's a picture of this stone somewhere.... --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 13:54, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've been trying to find a free use photo but haven't had any luck. Mkdwtalk 19:26, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Context of sale

edit

Having the context of its sale will help explain why it received so much coverage and how it was apart of one of the largest ruby auctions to date. The sources deemed it noteworthy enough to talk about the auction and other auction pieces in the article centred around the Sunrise Ruby. Therefore relevance is loosely established and I see no valid reason why this context should be removed. It's not exactly throwing the entire balance of the article off. When was it discovered?

edit

Is this part of a historic collection of hundreds of years and maybe part of some people's culture or is this a recent find? Thy, SvenAERTS (talk) 03:29, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

This ruby has been surpassed by "The Estrela de Fura", both in terms of carats and selling price https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-6585392658.80.201.106 (talk) 23:35, 9 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
