Guardian of the Wilderness edit
Another Sunn Classic Picture not listed was Guardian of the Wilderness with Denver Pyle as Galen Clark and John Dehner as John Muir, about the fellows who saved Yosemite from being devastated by logging companies back in the 1860s. Almost a borderline children's film, it is rather entertaining and is currently available for viewing for free on youtube. Galen Clark turns out to have been an extremely interesting character. There's an apparently fictional subplot with Abraham Lincoln but that's also quite well done. The movie's based on a true story but whenever Lincoln drops by, you're always wise to suspect a film's not strictly a documentary. In any case, it's worth seeing to begin to learn something about Galen Clark. Racing Forward (talk) 22:04, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
