Neutrality edit

SOmebody put a neutrality tag, but did not list reasons why. This is unhelpful. I would agree the article seems written from an Indian perspective, but it would be helpful to hear Chinese objections to the current version. Basejumper 14:58, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

There are few reliable offical sources about this conflict. Very hard to say which side was winning. Many sources cited from this wikipedia (please check their dates and web caches).

Especially for the casualties, reliable references are needed. Hope people keep their neutral mind!

Please offer reliable sources from ALL Indian, Chinese and English sources. (Alex Kuper (talk) 22:13, 13 December 2009 (UTC))Reply

Proposed merge of Operation Chequerboard into Sumdorong Chu standoff edit

Operation Chequerboard was conducted because of and amidst the Sumdorong Chu standoff. DTM (talk) 12:14, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - The Chequerboard page is too vague. These military operations generally are. All the newspaper men sound like Sundarji fanboys. A straight merge would damage the quality of this page. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 23:36, 23 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support merge on the grounds of both short text and context. I also note that policy is not to keep POVFORKs separate. Klbrain (talk) 11:02, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Given that no objection to that policy-based argument over 5 months, acting somewhat boldly,     Y Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 19:16, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
