articles inconsistency "Approximately 92,000 people were killed because of pyroclastic flows or starvation and disease" is referenced from the Mount Tambora article. Yet here the figure is 115,000. "The eruption of the volcano Tambora in 1815 killed 117,000 people in Southeast Asia, including those believed buried under ten feet (three meters) of pumice and ash..." is another figure from [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.130.17.26 (talkcontribs)

External links modified edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Sumbawa. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Removed unrelated accusations of Newmont Mining edit

The article formerly had accusations of this company for other operations in Indonesia not involving Batu Hijau or Sumbawa. I removed them as unrelated & possibly derogatory. There was also an unrelated police -firing incident moved below. It was in the Batu Hijau section but wasn't there. Could be used elsewhere?

Removed material: Newmont has been accused of being involved in scandals of mercury and arsenic poisoning in Sulawesi Island,[15] as well as having been embroiled in pollution cases on four continents.[15] (see History)

Protests on Sumbawa where police fired on protesters of a different gold project did not involve Newmont operations.[1]
